It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Is a weekly post to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading this week. It’s hosted by Kathryn at Bookdate.
What I Read Last Week:
This was a high octane, tense thriller, loved it!
I was pretty satisfied with the way this series ended.
This was fantastic, Bookouture knocks it out of the park again!
What I’m Currently Reading:
As I write this, I’m almost done. It’s definitely engaging so far though.
Up Next:
I really need to start Six of Crows still before it’s due back at the library. Maybe I’ll squeeze it in this week. How was your week last week? What are you currently reading?
nice collection for the week.

A new Fear Street book by R.L. Stine called Party Games. Definitely a guilty pleasure 😉

Oohhh I haven’t read one of those in ages how fun!

Right? I grew up on those and Christopher Pike. This one is relatively new, though some of the language dates Mr. Stine 😉

Yes Christopher Pike too, I had forgotten about those books. Haha that’s great!

I’m currently reading The Rise of Athens: The Story of the World’s Greatest Civilization by Anthony Everett. I’m really liking all the history, but I feel like I’m reading a textbook.

Oh that’s tough! It would be hard to stay interested 😬

Yeah, I received it for review too. I don’t know what the rule is with review books and marking them as DNF.

I’ve only had this happen a few times and I just emailed the publisher and explained why I couldn’t finish it. I have way too many books to read to waste my time with a book that just isn’t right for me.

I’ve only ever DNF’ed one book before and it wasn’t for review. I got the book from NetGalley. I love the content but just don’t like how it’s like reading a text book. I might just finish it.

You always seem to get in a lot of great reads! I’M reading The Trespasser by Tana French and it’s fantastic so far. Received The Killing game from Netgalley so I’ll pick that up next.

I was also waiting on it from the library but this weekend I was in the mood for a puzzling mystery so I broke down and bought it for my Kindle:)

It is! I’ve read In the Woods, Broken Harbor and The Likeness by her but I’m liking this one better than any of those.

I’ve managed to somehow read two books since yesterday! 😂 I read Dead is Best by Jo Perry and Crash Land by Doug Johnstone! Next up is Beneath The Ashes by Jane Isaac and an as yet undecided kindle book! 🤔

Look at you go! I need that to happen to me, I have so many that need to be reviewed like yesterday 😳😂 can’t wait for your reviews so I can just add more to my poor TBR pile

😂 I need to make a dent in mine! It’s at 850 as I counted over the weekend 😱 So I’m going to try and read as much as I can as fast as I can! 😳

😱🙈😱 I refuse to count I don’t want to know!! Throw some scraps at the family and keep your nose in a book 😂

I’m currently reading Ink & Bone and started listening to the audiobook of The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo on Audible. Not sure why I started this since all will come to a halt once Gemina is released tomorrow 🙈🙈😂😂

I was reading The Shining but have put it aside temporarily for this book that is a collection of letters called Hello Me, It’s You which is great so far. I hope you enjoy all of your reads and Six of Crows especially if you get to it. I loved that book. 😊

Oohh I love books written as letters! God, are they called eposiloratory? Pretty sure I butchered that it’s late that’s my excuse 😂 I really wanna at least start it this week, I just have some stuff that needs to be reviewed before the end of the week first. I’ve never heard anything bad about it which I think is so rare!

I’ve only read two books written in letters, so far, and I’ve really liked both of them. I’m actually not sure what they’re called 😂. They probably are called that though. 😊

I finished ‘The Girl on the Train’ last night and can absolutely see what all the fuss is about. Gave up on ‘The Art of Racing in the Rain’, which I found both unconvincing and offensively clichéd. Next up… possibly a biography of Dorothy L. Sayers.
