Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly post that is hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes and there is also a Goodreads group where you can find more information.
This weeks topic is Books You Want To Read Before The End Of The Year. I’m going to focus on books that are my TBR pile but that aren’t on my schedule yet. Yes, I have a schedule and order in which I read my books. Is that weird? It’s the only way I can stay on top of my review requests and due dates and stuff. I’m getting sidetracked here, maybe this should be a discussion post for later…
This one is a no brainer for me. I’m dying to read it, yet part of me is afraid that maybe I’ll be underwhelmed or disappointed? I know I will get to it, I want to read it, I’m just not in a huge rush.
I keep hearing fantastic things about this book and about Kasie West in general, so I plan on getting to this one within the next few months.
Another one that I see everywhere and hear nothing but great things about. No reason I haven’t started it, it’s sitting on my bookshelf. I will make room for it soon!
Every time I walk by my bookshelf this one catches my eye. The cover is just gorgeous and it also sounds amazing! What the hell am I waiting for?!
Finally, this one is another just sitting on my shelf looking all pretty. I see it everywhere, I really need to read this one!
Looks like I chose some pretty lighthearted books for my list! What books do you guys plan on reading before the end of the year? Do we have any in common?
P. S. This was an easy week for me, I could have added like 50 more books 😂
I love that you have a reading schedule!!! I’m a super organized person too, so a reading schedule would be right up my alley!
We Were Liars has been on my radar too!

Haha thanks! After I typed that, I was like, is that normal? Am I a weirdo? But I have to stay organized with my kids crazy schedules and stuff!

Right there with you my friend! Between school, sports, and social lives, my children are going to suck the life right out of me 😅

I’m halfway through Harry Potter and loving it. Some people have mixed opinions on it. So far, it’s a rave for me. And P.S. I Like You is an essential read. I’m so glad it’s on your list to read. 🙂

I have heard mixed thoughts on HP, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it though. And your review of P. S. is part of why I wanna read it so bad.

Aww, thanks! I’m so glad to hear that. 🙂 I hope you like HP. The new generation is cute and I didn’t realize how much I missed the older guys until I started reading. Ron… Sniff, sniff. I totally missed him. He’s such a character.

Aww I think the new generation thing is going to be so neat! Ron is the best, now I’m kind of wanting to abandon my current read and start HP 😂

Haha! I guess it depends what you’re currently reading. 🙂 I’m flipping through the book quickly. I thought the play format would be distracting, but I’m finding it even easier to read. I hope you like it.

I’m glad to hear that as the play format seems like it could be a little off putting. I’m reading Too Close and I don’t know if I like it or hate it 😂 I think it’s one of those that my opinion won’t be for sure until I’m finished. It’s just really weird and abrupt so far. But now I feel like I have to finish just in case it turns out to be amazing.

I’ve read plenty of books like that where I wasn’t sure about it until the end. I hope you end up liking it, and then come read Harry Potter. 🙂

Well I finished it last night and I’m so confused haha. Writing a review for it is gonna be hard.

We Were Liars is great! And all the other books on this list are also on my TBR. It’s really cool that you have a reading schedule, I love being organised as well so I’d love to hear more about it.

I have a few different lists defining my order of books to read and those to buy, so you’re totally not alone in that! haha

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is SUCH a good book!! I really enjoyed it 🙂
As a hardcore Harry Potter fan I can say that I didn’t love Cursed Child very much, I have a review up for my thoughts on it, but I mean it was hard not to enjoy some of it because of the sole reason that it was more Harry Potter content with the characters we know and love and new ones as well 🙂 However, I wasn’t too fond of the actual storyline of the play

Everyone that I talk to adores ATBILB! I need to go check out your HP review. That stinks that the storyline wasn’t great. I bet I’ll at least like catching up with the characters though. 🙂
