It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly post to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading this week. It’s hosted by Kathryn at Bookdate.
I loved The Promise of Provence it was such a fun read!
The Butlins Girls was a bit of a different read for me but I really enjoyed it.
Watching the Bodies was an awesome start to a new series.
The Fact of a Body was an extremely powerful read.
It’s Always the Husband was one I ended up really liking!
The Simplicity of Cider was just lovely.

My week was kind of crazy, my son was sick AGAIN and this time passed it to me. So my fun plans for Mother’s Day weekend went to hell and I was in bed all weekend. I didn’t even read much, I was that sick. I’m starting to feel better now so fingers crossed it stays that way!
How was your week?
Sorry to hear you and your son havent been well. Hope you are both feeling better soon. xx

I read The Boy in the Suitcase a long time ago, but I haven’t read anything by Friis since. I will have to look up What My Body Remembers.

I had little time for reading last week, but I heard an inspiring radio interview with Lisa Scottoline last night so I’m off to the library to dive into one of her books. A quote from Lisa: “My life is pared down to what I really want: I write, I read, I garden and I ride a little pony.” Great philosophy! Happy reading!

Get better! ❤ I have The Fact of a Body in my cart. And I am fighting so hard not to press the "Buy Now". I really have such a problem with hoarding books and breaking my budget.. sigh.

Hmm its always the husband, the book I am reading at the moment I am wondering is it the husband who did it?! Patricia Sands is an author I want to try some time.

I hope you enjoy “Remember Me”! I’m also starting Not a Sound this weekend! I can’t wait. My dad is deaf so I really enjoy stories with deaf characters.

Man I hope I get to it this weekend, it’ll be tight! I’m excited about Remember Me.
I love a personal connection to a book, it always makes it better ❤

Ugh! How awful to be sick for mother’s day… so ironic that your son “gifted” you his illness. Glad you are on the mend! I was sick with a stomach bug last week that put me in bed for 2.5 days. It was horrid. Thankfully no one else in my family caught it!
I’m sure you made up for lost time this week 🙂
