Tarah DeWitt has such a gift for writing messy, imperfect people who feel incredibly real, and Lost and Found may be her most emotional book yet. This story sits deep in grief for much of its runtime, but it never feels hopeless. Instead, it’s about learning to carry loss while still allowing yourself to experience joy, hope, and love again. It’s raw, complicated, and absolutely beautiful.

The romance is a slow burn built on years of friendship, quiet yearning, and so much patience. Silas completely stole my heart. He’s gentle, thoughtful, endlessly supportive, and the way he loves Bea is so incredibly tender. Watching these two slowly heal alongside one another made every emotional moment hit even harder, and that epilogue absolutely wrecked me—which is saying something because I rarely cry while reading.

The audiobook was flawless. Samantha Brentmoor delivers every ounce of Bea’s heartbreak, vulnerability, and eventual hope with incredible emotional depth while still bringing plenty of chemistry to the lighter, steamier moments. Adam Gold continues to become one of my favorite narrators, perfectly capturing Silas’s quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion. Together they elevate an already emotional story into something unforgettable.
