Review:

Christmas Assignment in Paradise was such a fun little listen! This holiday novella takes readers to Hawaii for a vacation romance with a little mystery, plenty of secrets, and some seriously undeniable chemistry. It was exactly the kind of quick, easy, entertaining audiobook I was in the mood for, and I really enjoyed my time with Sydney and Asher.

Sydney and Asher are both keeping secrets, which made their relationship even more interesting. I loved the little cat and mouse game between them as they tried to figure each other out while also dealing with their growing attraction. Their chemistry was immediate, and watching them navigate that attraction while hiding their own agendas was a lot of fun. The mystery elements added an extra layer of intrigue without making the story feel too complicated or heavy.

The audiobook was a great way to experience this one! Emma Wilder is always fantastic, and she delivered another wonderful performance. Benjamin Sands was a new to me narrator, and I thought he did an excellent job bringing Asher to life. He really captured that powerful, confident CEO personality, and I enjoyed listening to both narrators.

While this technically takes place over Christmas, I wouldn’t necessarily call it an especially festive read. The holiday is more of a backdrop than a major part of the story, but the tropical setting makes for a fun change of pace from the usual snowy holiday romances. Overall, Christmas Assignment in Paradise was a super fast, easy, enjoyable listen with great chemistry, a little intrigue, and a fun escape to paradise. Perfect when you’re looking for a romance you can breeze through in no time!

Perfect for readers who love:

• Quick, steamy contemporary romance novellas
• Tropical vacation settings and holiday escapes
• Billionaire CEOs and forced proximity
• Secrets, hidden agendas, and playful cat and mouse chemistry
• Dual narrated romance audiobooks

Overall rating: 4/5
