It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly post to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading this week. It’s hosted by Kathryn at Bookdate.
What I Read Last Week:
Crimes Against a Book Club was a super fun read.

Any Day Now was a sweet contemporary romance.

Dead Souls was a fantastic addition to one of my favorite series.

Bad to the Bone was a solid beginning to a new crime series.

The Note was a chilling short story.

Into the Water left me feeling conflicted.

The Good Widow is the perfect summer read.

Block 46 blew me away, amazing book.

Another great week despite some craziness on the home front! I missed a couple of books that I had hoped to get to last week, hopefully this week I can squeeze them in.
I’ve never been one that has to be in a certain mood to pick up a book, if it grabs me, genre doesn’t matter much, but I had a hard time with a couple of reads last week and had to put them down for now. It wasn’t that they were bad books, it just seemed like I couldn’t get into them so I’m guessing this is what people mean when they say they’re a mood reader? Are you like this? (Renee, I’m talking to you 😂)
I’m also finally almost done with my discussion post for the month and I’ll have some fun giveaways in the coming weeks. Next month is my big blogiversary celebration and I’m hoping to do either a week of giveaways on different social media platforms or one giant one, which would you guys prefer? I’m planning on having at least one being open internationally as I have so many readers from all over. I think that’s so cool, I love checking that part of my stats out. I also hit 1,000 WordPress followers over the weekend which blows my mind as well! Definitely cause for celebration/giveaways.
What are you currently reading?

Disenchanted has a great cover, looking forward to seeing what that’s about 🙂

🙋Mood reader here! I was reading along thinking yep that’s totally what happens to me then I got to your last sentence and you really were talking to me😂Too funny! It’s a curse though! Question…how did you read 8 books in 1 week?? I read 2 since Friday and I’m patting myself on the back:) Over the weekend I binge read Book 4&5 of Jane Casey’s Maeve Kerrigan series and I’m completely obsessed. I’m going to have to continue my binge with 6&7 and my review copies will just have to wait😳

See I feel like it would be a curse too! It’s a strange, new feeling for me. Well one was a short story so it was really my usual a book a day habit 😂 Man I need to at least read the first book in that series!!

It’s so good Amy! Not only are the mysteries good but the drama/tension between the 2 lead characters Maeve and Josh is so fun….I have a new book boyfriend in Josh and I’m thrilled about that😍

Congrats, 1000 followers, wow! :O Yeah, sometimes I find myself struggling because there are days when I’m super patient and there was a weekend when I DNFd like 3 books. Poor them, maybe they were good 😦

I went through a period like that as well! One of the books I put down last week was a review copy from an author and I’ve seen awesome reviews so I feel extra bad. I’ll try again with it soon though.

I hope you had a better reading week this week! I wouldn’t consider myself a “mood reader,” per se, but I definitely have times where I want to read a certain genre over another… I don’t like to read the same genre back to back, so I constantly switch my genres up… I think this prevents the dreaded reading slump.
Yay! Happy almost blogiversary!!! Cannot wait to see what you decide to do with the giveaways 🙂 Congrats on 1,000 WP followers!!! I cannot think of anyone more deserving!

I get like that too as far as trying to switch up genres but this was just weird!
Thanks so much 😘
