Synopsis:

A divorced detective who is all about order gets more than he bargained for when his new nanny sends his life–and his heart–spinning out of control in the latest spicy romance by USA Today and Wall Street Journalbestselling author Natasha Madison.

Finley Westbook’s life just blew up. Now, the only thing she wants is for her husband to sign their divorce papers. Just one he wants half of her, and her family’s, fortune. When her best friend tells her a man in her hometown needs a short-term, live-in nanny for his eight-year-old son, it sounds like the perfect escape from the mess her life has become. Sure, Finley has never had a job, but how hard can it be to take care of an adorable kid?

Single dad and small-town detective Lincoln Burke doesn’t have time for chaos. But just as his ex-wife is about to leave for her honeymoon, a major case hits his desk. He’s desperate to find a nanny, and it seems Finley is his only option. She’s a walking disaster in his kitchen, can never follow a schedule–and is a dangerous temptation in his home.

The chemistry between them is impossible to ignore, but Lincoln won’t risk his heart again–especially not with his employee. Yet, the more Finley pushes his buttons, the harder she is to resist. When danger closes in, what started as a temporary arrangement may cost them far more than they ever expected.

Review:

I am having the best time with this series! Falling for Her is the second book, and while you can absolutely read it as a standalone, I thought the first book was so cute and definitely worth picking up too. Natasha Madison delivers another entertaining romance filled with humor, heart, fantastic chemistry, and characters I couldn’t help but love.

Finley was an absolute disaster, and I adored her! She’s lived an incredibly privileged life and has no idea how to do basic things like laundry or cooking, much less how to be a nanny. But honestly? Bless her heart, she tried! 😂 I loved that underneath all the chaos was someone genuinely trying to figure things out and make the best of a difficult situation. Her relationship with Lincoln’s son, Asa, was one of my favorite parts of the entire book. Their bond felt so authentic, sweet, and natural, and watching their connection grow was absolutely adorable.

And then there’s Lincoln! This grumpy single dad has absolutely no patience for Finley’s chaotic approach to life, and their relationship definitely gets off to a rocky start. Their opposite personalities made for some fantastic tension and banter, and I loved watching their initial frustration slowly develop into something much more. The chemistry was excellent, the spice delivered, and their evolving relationship was so much fun to follow.

This was another really enjoyable addition to the series, and I am already looking forward to more! Between Finley’s lovable hot mess energy, Lincoln’s grumpiness, the sweetest little boy, and a romance packed with chemistry, there was so much to love here. Natasha Madison continues to remind me why I enjoy her books so much!
