Books With Pumpkin in the Title

30+ Books With Pumpkin in the Title for Your Fall TBR

There are certain words that immediately make me want to read a book during fall, and apparently pumpkin is one of them. 😂

Pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice, pumpkin cafés, pumpkin festivals—and, because this is me, naturally there are also quite a few pumpkins involved in murder.

I started putting together books with pumpkin in the title thinking this would be a cute little seasonal list. And then I kept finding them. And finding them. And finding them. Apparently publishing has collectively decided that if you put the word pumpkin on a book cover, fall readers like me will come running.

They are correct.

So instead of pretending this is a carefully ranked list of personal recommendations, consider this one a giant fall reading discovery shelf. I’ve read a few of these myself, while plenty of others are books I found while hunting for this very niche theme and now my own fall TBR has gotten considerably more ridiculous.

Romance Books With Pumpkin in the Title

If your ideal fall romance involves pumpkin patches, cozy cafés, small towns and two people falling in love while surrounded by an unreasonable amount of autumn decor, there are plenty of options.

This group ranges from straight up cozy contemporary romance to paranormal and witchy reads, but they all have one extremely important thing in common:

🎃 Pumpkin made the title.

Frankly, that’s enough commitment to the fall assignment for me.

Cozy Mysteries With Pumpkin in the Title

And then we have the murder pumpkins. 😂

Cozy mystery authors have been putting pumpkin in their titles for YEARS, which makes perfect sense when your genre specializes in small towns, bakeries, seasonal festivals, cafés and people discovering dead bodies immediately before important community events.

This is also where you’ll find a few series I already know and love, including Jenn McKinlay’s Cupcake Bakery Mysteries, Alex Erickson’s Bookstore Café Mysteries, Darci Hannah’s Beacon Bakeshop Mysteries and, of course, Ellie Alexander’s Bakeshop Mysteries.

And yes, The Pumpkin Vice Café is absolutely one of my favorites. A Bakeshop Mystery with pumpkin in the title was basically engineered in a lab specifically for me. 😂

Basically, Pumpkin Is a Literary Genre Now

Did we need more than 30 books with pumpkin in the title?

Obviously.

I love that this list has everything from pumpkin patches and pumpkin spice to cafés, bookstores, romance, witches and murder. It’s less of a traditional recommendation guide and more of a giant seasonal browsing list for anyone who sees the word pumpkin on a cover and immediately thinks, yes, that’s the fall nonsense I want.

And because I’m apparently incapable of leaving well enough alone, I already know this won’t be the last Books With ___ in the Title list around here.

Cinnamon, you’re up next. 😂
