What I Read Last Week:

Left to Chance was a really great read about a woman who returns to her small hometown against her better judgement.

The Silent Fountain was a really atmospheric, haunting historical fiction that I loved! Today’s the last day to enter my giveaway on Instagram.

Sweet Tea and Sympathy was SO good, I enjoyed it more than I anticipated.

My TBT was Love Warrior a raw, honest and emotional memoir.

Sugarplum Way was an adorable holiday read.

Here We Lie was a slow burning, mesmerizing tale.

Currently Reading:

Finally reading this, loving it so far!

I have a busy few weeks coming up!

How was your week? For my friends that celebrate, how was your Thanksgiving? Mine was good, my amazing inlaws took my kids for two days so we had some awesome quality time AND we just about finished Christmas shopping! Good think because we’re finally getting ready to move so I need to start packing, which I hate!! I swear I’m never moving again hahaha.

I’m obsessed with The Wife Between Us I loved it!

A Season to Lie was another solid book in a series I’m enjoying.

Bridges is the second in a series about female friendships and life, really good!

Written in Blood was a really cool read, old school vibe with a unique killer.

I listened to Let’s Just Be Friends and I always enjoy a Camilla Isley book.

Beneath the Skin was a different type of psychological thriller.

Winter Solstice was the final book in a series that I just loved!

Murder Game was also the final book in a series and I really like Mitchell’s style.

Lilac Lane was a sweet, clean romance.

My TBT pick was Beartown, what an amazing, powerful book.


Christmas at the Falling-Down Guesthouse was a delightful holiday read.

The Boyfriend Swap was a hilarious and fun rom com.

Whiteout was another amazing addition to the Dark Iceland series.

The Truth About Thea was an excellent psychological thriller.

Her Last Day was a fantastic start to a new series.

I love Croft’s style and Silent Lies was an awesome read.


No-One Ever Has Sex on Christmas Day was SO funny!

My TBT pick was The Memory Watcher and I loved it!


I’m such a huge Gibney fan and The Lost Child was a fantastic read.


The Bitches of Suburbia was a darkly humorous engaging read.

For TBT I’m doing one of these but not sure which. Both have mixed reviews so I’ll give them and try and see which one grabs my attention!


How was your week? I’m struggling, I got sick over the weekend and completely lost my voice. I have a weird head cold and a super sore throat, and of course my husband was out of town so not much help with our kids.

Her Last Secret was a character driven psychological thriller that I really liked!

Seven Days of Us was about a dysfunctional family, some parts were great and others were meh.

If You Knew My Sister was another psychological thriller that was heavy on the psychological aspect and light on the thrills.

Under the Knife was an excellent medical thriller.

The Little Village Christmas was totally adorable!

Delaney is the first in a new series from an author I really enjoy!

The Blackbird Season was an eerily atmospheric read, slow burning but great tension.

Snare was a really original read, I loved it!

I LOVE Sue Watson books and Snowflakes didn’t disappoint!


Christmas at Butterfly Cove was an adorable read.

I’m making my way through my backlog of Netgalley books so Under the Knife is my TBT pick this week!

I’m not sure what else I’ll pick this week, I had a few books published on the 3 and 10 of this month that I didn’t get too so definitely some of those! 

I had such a great vacation, we went to California and hit Sea World, Legoland and had a beach day our last day there. My kids had a total blast, my husband and I did too but we both agree we need a separate adults only vacation to recuperate now 😂 Vacations with small kids are so much work y’all! My kids started asking how much longer within the first hour of an eight hour drive. 🙄 Then there’s so much stuff to pack and then unpacking and laundry totally sucks too. Fall break is officially over today and I can’t say I’m sad to send them back to school and get a little quiet time for a few hours. While I’m ranting, WTF is up with fall break anyway?! That wasn’t a thing back in my day. It seems like my kids are always off for something or other. Sigh. I do love my kids, honest I just love them more when we have a little break 😜 

^^Sorry, that was rather ranty and not remotely related to reading/books but now that I’m back home and into my usual routine I’m so looking forward to catching up on my backlog. How was your week?! Anyone else suffer through fall break too?

If There’s No Tomorrow was a powerful and emotional read. 

The Deep Dark Descending was a hauntingly poetic thriller, I loved it!

The Mistake was a solid psychological thriller from one of my go to authors.

My TBT pick was Until You’re Mine, a really great psychological thriller!


Fifty Years of Fear was a really unique crime read.

The Welcome Home Diner was fiction with a social conscience.

I adore this series and really enjoyed Annie’s Christmas by the Sea.

I’m not sure if I’ll read much else, were getting ready to head to California for a family vacation!! I’ll have some scheduled posts of course but things may be pretty quiet from me otherwise.

Reach for the Stars was a fun, uplifting read. 

Sugar Pine Trail is part of a series that I’m enjoying.

In Twenty Years was a decent read.

Tilly Tennant is becoming one of my go to women’s fiction authors, A Very Vintage Christmas was a lovely read.


Sands is so fabulous at bringing a setting to life, Drawing Lessons was no exception. 


I love Jenny Hale, We’ll Always Have Christmas is my favorite book of hers to date.

Paperbacks from Hell was a totally different type of read for me but a really cool one!

She Did It was a great psychological thriller. 

I liked Best Day Ever but it’s definitely dividing readers. 


Sweet Reality was a fun guilty pleasure read. 

Cold Blood was another great read in a fantastic series. 

I’ve become such a huge fan of Smith, I really liked The Kindred Killers.

I’m reading this for my TBT pick, I’ve missed the past couple of weeks and am so excited I’ll be joining again!

Apparently it’s chick lit/women’s fiction week on Novelgossip?! 😂😂 Not any thrillers planned which is odd, but I adore every single on of my planned authors so I’m very excited! 

I’m struggling with my blogging lately, I know it’s a common problem but I’m at that overwhelmed and I’ll never catch up stage. I know there’s no possible way to read every single book I want to read but I need to start saying no more. I was doing pretty well with it the first half of the year but lately it’s been hard. Could all my favorite publishers quit releasing such amazing sounding books please?! (I’m looking at you Bookouture, Orenda and Lake Union)
