What I Read Last Week: 


The Serial Killer’s Daughter was a chilling read. 

Liar was another fantastic psychological thriller from Slater. 

Best Friend for Hire was a fun read about one woman finding self confidence again. 

Serenity Harbor was adorable, super sweet. 

Guilty was a good, slow building thriller. 

16th Seduction was a great book to listen to with an outstanding narrator. 

Wolves in the Dark was a gripping read.

The Betrayed was another bold, gritty read from Kelleher. 

Two Sisters was a solid read, very enjoyable.

What I Read Last Week: 


One to Watch was another winner from Amphlett. 

Exquisite was an outstanding psych thriller 

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was SO good, I’m obsessed with it. 


The Idea of You was a really cool, hip love story with substance. 

When I Wake Up was a solid thriller. 

The Wardrobe Mistress was a lovely historical read.

Every Last Lie was another great read from Kubica. 

Wait for the Rain was a feel good read that I really liked!

I had one of my best reading weeks in a long time, I had so many 5 stars last week!! It’s so awesome reading so many great books back to back. 

Giveaway number three starts tomorrow so  stay tuned, its international this time!!

What I Read Last Week:


The Party fell flat for me unfortunately. 

Allie and Bea was great, a really touching read. 

The Sunshine Sisters was a really fun, entertaining read. 

The Identicals is Hilderbrand at her best.

The Silence was a decent read.

The Summer House was a sweet romance. 

The Eyes of the Accused is the second in a series that I’m enjoying. 

Secrets of Southern Girls was mostly enjoyable, I did have some minor issues.

I had a really great week, I can’t complain! Hopefully this week will be just as good. 

I put together a list of my most anticipated Summer Reads and my second giveaway to celebrate my blogiversary will start tomorrow!

I loved He Said/She Said, a fantastic thriller. 


Secrets of the Dead is the second in a series that I’m really enjoying! 

The Lost Letter was a gorgeous historical fiction. 

Underneath was a dark tale of an odd relationship. 

The Futures was a solid book to listen to with great narrators.

I had my worst reading week in a long time, but I had an awesome family vacation! No complaints here, just have to get busy and read my little heart out this week.

I loved The Weight of Lies, definitely a standout for May.


Annie’s Lovely Choir by the Sea was such a sweet, light read.

I Promise You This was the final book in a series that I loved, there’s still time to enter my international giveaway! 

The Revelation Room was an interesting read about a crazy cult.

Body Breaker was an awesome crime thriller.

Be My Killer was a fun read, reminiscent of an older horror movie.

The People We Hate at the Wedding was a snarky, witty read about a highly dysfunctional family.

I’m not actually sure what I’m reading this week, we’re leaving for Mexico on Thursday so I don’t have anything set in stone. Im thinking The Sunshine Sisters and The Party will be fun beach reads though!

I loved The Promise of Provence it was such a fun read!


The Butlins Girls was a bit of a different read for me but I really enjoyed it.

Watching the Bodies was an awesome start to a new series.

The Fact of a Body was an extremely powerful read.

It’s Always the Husband was one I ended up really liking!

The Simplicity of Cider was just lovely.

My week was kind of crazy, my son was sick AGAIN and this time passed it to me. So my fun plans for Mother’s Day weekend went to hell and I was in bed all weekend. I didn’t even read much, I was that sick. I’m starting to feel better now so fingers crossed it stays that way!

Crimes Against a Book Club was a super fun read.

Any Day Now was a sweet contemporary romance. 

Dead Souls was a fantastic addition to one of my favorite series.

Bad to the Bone was a solid beginning to a new crime series.

The Note was a chilling short story.

Into the Water left me feeling conflicted.

The Good Widow is the perfect summer read.

Block 46 blew me away, amazing book.

Another great week despite some craziness on the home front! I missed a couple of books that I had hoped to get to last week, hopefully this week I can squeeze them in. 

I’ve never been one that has to be in a certain mood to pick up a book, if it grabs me, genre doesn’t matter much, but I had a hard time with a couple of reads last week and had to put them down for now. It wasn’t that they were bad books, it just seemed like I couldn’t get into them so I’m guessing this is what people mean when they say they’re a mood reader? Are you like this? (Renee, I’m talking to you 😂)

I’m also finally almost done with my discussion post for the month and I’ll have some fun giveaways in the coming weeks. Next month is my big blogiversary celebration and I’m hoping to do either a week of giveaways on different social media platforms or one giant one, which would you guys prefer? I’m planning on having at least one being open internationally as I have so many readers from all over. I think that’s so cool, I love checking that part of my stats out. I also hit 1,000 WordPress followers over the weekend which blows my mind as well! Definitely cause for celebration/giveaways.

Dead Woman Walking was fantastic, I highly recommend it. 

Fear the Darkness is book two in a great series.

Ice Cold Alice was a chilling serial killer thriller. 

The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living was a cute book, the narrator was amazing.

A Twist of the Knife is the third in a series and I loved it!

The Puppet Master was a decent read, I had a few minor issues. 

If We Were Villians was a great literary thriller. 

The Girl on the Bus was a creepy read.

Game Point was the fourth in a series that I jumped into and really liked!

Last Breath was another excellent addition to the Erika Foster series. 

A Wedding in Italy is the second in a perfect spring series.

Sleep Tight is the second in the Ruby Preston series, I love these books!

I finished listening to French Kiss, a fun beginning to a new series about a French detective. 


I LOVED Slightly South of Simple, I have a giveaway that’s still open for a copy!


Lie to Me was an interesting read. 

Rage Against the Dying was an outstanding read. 
Currently Reading: 


I’ve been having a Becky Masterman binge, it’s been awesome! 

Up Next: 



I’m also reading a super secret ARC that I’m excited about! More on that in May. 

I’ve been reading even more than usual as my husband is out of town and my nights after the kids are in bed are quiet. I’m also trying to scramble to read all of the books I had planned on reading in April before the months over!
